SEO-friendly content is half science and half art. We’ve been writing optimized content for over 15 years so we’ve got a strong handle on both halves of that equation. We also leverage the power of artificial intelligence to help with the research we do on each page we write.
How do you handle online directory submissions for backlinking?
We work with a partner who gives us access to all the major data aggregators as well as a vast array of independent directories. Because of this partnership, we’re able to get large numbers of backlinks out on the directories and to monitor them over time. It’s a powerful solution that’s well-tailored to the needs of small business owners.
How long does it typically take to see results from a digital marketing campaign?
This will depend on what you have going on already, as well as what you sign up for with us. On average and in general, our SEO clients start to see traction in about 60-120 days and reach peak performance some time after that. PPC clients will see results right away and then reach peak performance after a couple of months.

How do you measure the success of a campaign?
This will depend on what sort of campaign you’ve signed up for. For campaigns that involve a website, backlinks, PPC, etc., we like to focus on the number of phone calls, texts, and emails received. Traffic, ranking, clicks, and things of that nature are important, but ultimately no one is going to hand you money for being #1 on Google’s search results. What you want is humans to contact you so that’s where we focus.
What tools and software do you use for tracking and analytics?
We have our own, proprietary tools for most of these purposes. We use CallTrax to track phone calls and text messages. We use MapTrax for your Google Map listing’s performance and content. AdTrax will monitor and report on your rankings. And of course we have raw traffic data on the website as well.
How often will I receive reports on my campaigns?
You can access your reporting in our portal any time you wish. Just log in at ProspectGenius.com and go crazy!
Can I target specific demographics or regions with my ads?
Yes, but this will vary in granularity and capability depending on if we’re talking about PPC or SEO. With the SEO we can target geographies, but we won’t have much control. It’s up to Google et al to match up the search query with the proper location and content so it’s really out of our hands. PPC, however, allows us to fine-tune and target very granular geographies and demographics.
How do you handle changes in algorithms or platform policies?
The only thing constant in digital marketing is that it’s never the same. The rules change rapidly but we’re plugged into what’s going on. We read and compare notes regularly. However, if you put out quality work and quality content, you’ll find that it’ll continue to work well for many many years. It’s typically only when you’re pushing the boundaries into some gray areas of the rules that you’ll see major swings in your performance.
Do you have experience in my industry or niche?
Probably. We do a lot of work in the home services industries, tax and accounting, professional services, automotive aftermarket and repairs, medical practices, and the list goes on and on.

If you’re talking about an SEO style campaign, this is handled largely with the content that we put out. The keywords chosen has a lot to do with how we target your audience. With PPC, we have more options to target demographics and geographies so we’re able to use more of the tools they provide us for those.

We use a combination of our intuition, tools like Google’s keyword planner, and now artificial intelligence. It’s an elaborate process but we try to make use of all the latest technologies so we can ensure the best results for our clients.
How do you handle website maintenance and updates?
Because we handle so many sites, we have tools for this purpose. We run updates to plugins and core WordPress files every day and sometimes more than once per day.

Depending on what you mean, yes. We can tailor our services to your specifications because we are NOT a one-size-fits-all shop. Just let us know what your requirements are and we’ll work with them.
What’s your approach to competitor analysis?
If you’re trying to out-rank someone, it’s important to identify that someone and then measure their performance. Before we start in on a campaign, we research the landscape you’re operating in and assess what’s required to be competitive. It’s a standard part of every project we start.
How do you handle negative feedback or reviews online?
When clients get negative reviews, we strongly encourage them to let us write the reply. We’ll need their side of the story and all the details from them, but when it comes to crafting a reply, it’s best that a dispassionate 3rd party writes the response. It’s critical to remember that you’re not writing the reply for the person who reviewed you. That ship has sailed. It’s for the next person who comes by and reads that review. That’s where your opportunity still lies.
Can you assist with email marketing campaigns?
Typically we just provide the content for the emails but we can help you with other parts of your campaign as well. Just let us know what your needs are.

We prefer the A/A/B model over A/B but that’s just our preference. When we run PPC for clients we are always split-testing ad copy to make sure we’re getting the most from each dollar.

Onboarding will look different depending on what you sign up for but typically it follows this workflow:
- We interview you to get all the important info about your needs and goals.
- We craft a campaign to fit your goals and budget.
- You approve the plan and make a payment.

We’re very mindful of the risks involved with sensitive data. We use industry-standard practices to ensure that your data is safe with us.

We’ve run a large number of remarketing campaigns for clients so we have plenty of experience with them. It’s not the right tool for everyone, but in certain situations it can be great. Commonly it’s best for those with longer sales-cycles and larger purchase prices.
How do you approach local SEO and geo-targeted ads?
Local SEO is a primary focus of ours. We have techniques for writing pages and creating backlinks such that we can target whatever towns you wish to service. Of course, this is not anywhere near as exact as what you can do with PPC, but we’re very familiar with the standard practices for how this sort of thing is done in the SEO space.
